Oversee the company and assist with operations on every level. Founded with two partners and now have three training centers in which computer training is offered to those in recovery.

West Coast-based philanthropist Kathleen Patton has made great strides at Crossing the Digital Divide, the computer training organization she co-founded. At Crossing the Digital Divide, which is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, Kathleen Patton serves as the non-profit organization's Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director. Kathleen Patton and the other dedicated staff members on the Crossing the Digital Divide team strive to provide computer training for those who are recovering from drug abuse and/or drug-related incarceration. Since few programs cater to these special needs individuals, Kathleen Patton stepped in and filled a need in the community.

Crossing the Digital Divide, which made its debut in January 2004, will have graduated nearly 1,000 students by the end of this year. Additionally, Crossing the Digital Divide has received numerous certificates and awards and an appreciation from the mayor of Los Angeles, showing that the organization's impact is far-reaching in the community.

Kathleen Patton earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Lit and is returning to gain an advanced Master of Business Administration degree.

When she is not running Crossing the Digital Divide, Kathleen Patton enjoys music, taking photographs, attending local art galleries and theatre performances, practicing yoga, hiking, and horseback riding. Kathleen Patton also spends her free time reading books, especially her favorites: Sense and Sensibility, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Godfather, the Bhagavad Gita, and The Bible.

Working fulltime for CDD as the Director. CDD brings computer training to high risk adults in recovery. We also bridge divides by bringing professional techs together with those with no computer background.
